Our New Jersey Special Olympics teams have been proudly representing the Arc of Cumberland County at Regional, State, National, and even International Special Olympics Games for many years. While they have brought back countless medals demonstrating their skill and focus, they have also returned from these events with memories of new friends gained, and the personal pride that comes from the knowledge that they gave their very best efforts in each and every one of their competitive events. All of our teams are coached by volunteer members of our Arc community. We could not field any of our Special Olympics teams without their passion for the well-being of their team members and for their dedication to making the Special Olympics experience one that each team member will not only enjoy while participating in their particular event(s) but also remember for many years to come.
Our 2019/2020 teams are:
- Bowling – Practices start each year in September at Legacy Lanes in Bridgeton. Practice session costs are $9.00 for 3 games.
- Bocce – Our bocce team starts practicing at our Evanoff Center courts in August. There is no cost for Bocce Ball activities. Click here to see our current NJ Special Olympics Bocce team schedule.
- Swimming – Our swim team starts practice in February at the Holly Family Center in Millville. There is a $5.00 charge for each pool practice session. Click here to see our current NJ Special Olympics Swim Team schedule.
