The Arc of Cumberland County Recreation-Services

Most of the programs and services described in our website that The Arc of Cumberland County provides to our consumers and their friends and family members are funded by a New Jersey state organization or through Medicaid dollars. Our recreation programs are the exception. Aside from a modest (but greatly appreciated) Community Development Block Grant made available from the City of Vineland (and previously the City of Millville) none of these activities are funded by a governmental source. We use the proceeds from our annual Step Up for the Arc fund raiser, some United Way funding, and our own matching dollars to keep these services intact. There is one part-time paid Coordinator for all of the recreation activities that we provide. We depend upon our many talented and tireless volunteers to help us manage the almost daily challenges associated with each of the activities we offer. All participants in any of our recreation activities must maintain an active membership status with the Arc of Cumberland County.

There are three distinct parts to our recreation programs. Click on each individual main heading to learn more about the many individual activities offered in each area.
